The Blackroc Technology Ltd. content management system provides a fully database driven product browser with automatic image processing, a news page and news ticker, a graphical promotions section, a returns RMA processing system and full page control. We also provide another completely separate content management system for the Blackroc CAP premium partner system. The Aeroclub Models web site provides visitors with comprehensive search and order facilities to over 4000 model parts and kits from an on-line database. The web site can be kept up to date by Aeroclub using a custom designed office database system that includes invoice processing, catalogue production, customer and parts processing, and web site maintenance tools.
One of our key goals realised with this system is to reduce the cost of owning and running a web site which requires regular updates. Firstly it provides the main support and download pages for the Virtual Fretboard software mentioned above with on-line ordering links and software specifications. Secondly, it provides links, articles and other resources targetted at users and enthusiasts of fretted instruments with a focus on the guitar.
This site has a real time multi-currency ordering system, an SMS order notification system and a WAP based order authorisation system for automated software registration key delivery. This provides us with the ability to sell our software and check each order for fraud attempts from anywhere that has mobile phone connectivity.
The application provides central control for a cluster of download servers and provides in-depth integrated download statistics via email. This is augmented by PC based software to convert sales and download logs into indepth management information. The Climax Blues Band are a long standing and successful blues band from the UK. They have a wide fan base who can keep up with the band's movements, gigs, news and CDs from the web site designed and managed by us. This is a good example of a specifically targetted web site and we hope that if anyone, anywhere types the words 'Climax Blues Band' into any search engine this site will be in the top ten results. This site uses static HTML and client side dynamic elements. MP3 audio clips of the band are available to visitors via the discography page. The Musicians Search is a fully functional real-time search engine and category browser for web sites related to music. Registered members can add, edit and delete listings with instant results. Unlike other search engines, it doesn't take 8 weeks and $300 to get a listing. The user interface consists of text; no graphics are required to provide this information service. This project is a fully dynamic web site constructed entirely from fast Java(TM) servlets backed up by a server side database. The site requires no maintenance at all and similar topic based search engines could be deployed elsewhere using the generic and highly configurable Java code and database that make up this system.
